Poppy Fields – Gloucester Cathedral – 17th – 25th October 2025
This immersive installation marked the much-anticipated return of Luxmuralis to Gloucester Cathedral, following the sell-out success of Light Eternal in 2023 and reflects on the sacrifices of the First and Second World Wars, offering a message of peace and hope for the future.
As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE and VJ Day and approach the season of Remembrance, this moving experience invited you to pause, reflect and remember.
Brought to life through beautiful imagery, as well as snippets of recorded poetry read by Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, Poppy Fields offered a moment of stillness in one of Britain’s most beautiful sacred spaces.
