“It was fantastic to partner with Luxmuralis on this unique and exciting collaboration. They worked closely with us to turn our history and stories into beautiful and immersive light and sound artworks that could be enjoyed by people all over the country.’

Paul Smith Director of Enterprise Liverpool Cathedral 2024“Working with Luxmuralis has been transformational for us in terms of our ability, as a Cathedral, to deliver large scale public art to hundreds of thousands of people. In Liverpool we strive to be an important and valued asset to the people of the city and beyond and the work we have done with Luxmuralis has been extremely important in being able to deliver on this objective. “
“The displays have been cleverly devised not just to focus attention on the outside of the cathedral but to draw people in, including many who would not normally think of entering a church building or might feel nervous about doing so. The different shows and exhibitions inside the cathedral have helped to make it a place of wonder for visitors”
Dr Julia Ipgrave, Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Humanities at Roehampton University, Lichfield 2021

“For someone, who has never stepped inside the Cathedral before this was indeed a divine experience. The kaleidoscopic lightworks by the light sculptor and the accompanying music will transport you into another realm. Whether you are religious or not, this is an experience that can only leave you exalted. The crescendo of the music complements the light projection perfectly and together they create an experience like no other.”
Asmita Sarkar Birmingham World, 2024
“Totally overawed by the experience. It is a combination of a wonderful building, great music and amazing lighting and video that is guaranteed to take your breath away.”
Terry Eastham, London Theatre 1, 2024

“The Luxmuralis team were absolutely fantastic to work with when they came to St Martin-in-the-Fields. It was the first time we had ever embarked on such an ambitious art project, but the team gave us confidence at every step that the installation would be brilliant. They were so helpful supplying us with assets to help promote it across our channels, and giving us advice on what had worked well at other venues. The project was amazing for audience development with 75% of visitors having never visited us before, so we immediately booked them to come back the next year. The installation itself was absolutely stunning and generated a huge amount of interest and press coverage, with BBC London coming down to cover our opening night. I’d highly recommend working with them to bring a new dimension to any heritage venue.”

“Carlisle City Council began working in partnership with Luxmuralis in 2020 with the introduction of ‘Carlisle – City of Lights’. The initial event at Carlisle Cathedral was a huge hit with both visitors and locals. Local hospitality venues were also booked out for the duration of the event which demonstrated a great economic benefit to Carlisle. Due to its success the event has expanded across the city and now incorporates Carlisle Cathedral, Tullie Museum and Carlisle Castle. The team from Luxmuralis have developed excellent relationships with all of the venues, and always help us to deliver really high profile place making events. As part of the Hadrian’s Wall 1900 celebration Luxmuralis produced bespoke artwork installations for Carlisle which took visitors on a journey through time back to the days when Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall stood at the northern frontier of the Roman Empire.
With the advent of our new local authority, Cumberland Council, City of Lights has now become ‘Light District’. The programme has expanded to include smaller towns and villages across the new area. The reputation of City of Lights and the work that Luxmuralis have done has energised these communities and helped develop a real sense of civic pride and pride of place – which is exactly what the Council had hoped to achieve. The Luxmuralis team once again rose to the challenge and helped us produce a truly breathtaking event. Once again the economic impact was evident in businesses close by as visitors chose to make a night of it. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved with the support of Luxmuralis and our thanks go to the entire team for their hard work on the many long days and late nights that go into producing events of such significant scale and impact.”
Paul Walker, Destination Manager | Destination Management and Tourism Thriving Place and Investment | Cumberland Council 2024

The event had an enormous impact, and drew crowds far greater than we had ever imagined. The feedback has been remarkable and uniformly positive. Congratulations on creating such a powerful and beautiful installation, and many thanks for adapting and presenting it so effectively for St Albans.
The Very Rev. Dr Jeffrey John Dean of St Albans Cathedral 2018.
