Created working with large numbers of the general public the artwork was heralded as a major aspect of this significant celebration of the lexicographers life and work.

‘Johnson 300’ was a large scale son-et-lumiere to celebrate the tercentenary of Dr Johnson Birth in his home town of Lichfield, alongside a wide ranging community engagement project. Artist Peter Walker, and composer David Harper had worked collaboratively with Andy McKeown (external galleries) on a number of high profile events nationally, centred primarily around projects with community engagement elements leading to this large scale projection event. These projects utilised original bespoke software designed by Andy McKeown and were staged by Wild Strawberry Interactive Mulitmedia LTD.
